Make “sole” music by walking, dancing, and even exercising on the giant interactive keyboard! Learn how to read simple sheet music and to play “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” or make your own harmonious melodies, just like Tom Hanks in the movie BIG.
Special thanks to the family of founding board member, Mark Stone, who donated the Musical Monument in his memory with this message about the importance of music:
Math and music are closely connected. It is widely believed that students who do well in music also excel in math. Research shows starting music lessons at a young age enhances math ability. One theory is music strengthens the neural chords that transmit information between the two hemispheres of the brain. Music is one of our greatest economic exports, second only to aerospace as our most lucrative national export.
