Col. Jack Fischer, a NASA astronaut, visited with families at the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum on Wednesday.
Fischer talked to the kids about the experience of space travel, plus what it was like to live on the International Space Station for six months and take part in spacewalks.
Fischer has more than 3,000 flight hours.
About 50 kids and parents attended Wednesday’s presentation.
Exhibits at the Discovery Museum include the recently opened Vandenberg Launch Experience, an interactive display focusing on aerospace science.
