Waffle House sells a whopping 145 waffles every minute! If you think that’s crazy, wait until you find out that the shoe brand Nike was actually created because of waffles! Bill Bowermen, the creator of the first Nike sneaker, was watching his wife make waffles in a waffle iron when the inspiration for an athletic shoe using a waffle pattern struck him. He then proceeded to use a waffle iron to create his first pair of shoes!
