In the 15th century England, women wearing pointy hats would sit and brew in their cauldrons for hours at a time. They were said to have cats that wander the area. They even would hang “broomsticks” in their windows when their brews were done! While this may sound like a witch, these women were actually brewers making beer! They wore hats as a sign of their profession, and they would keep cats around to kill any mice trying to sneak around. The “broomsticks” were actually alestakes that they would hang to signify that their ale was done!
Come down to the museum and aid the witches in finding their lost potion ingredients so they can help spread Halloween joy! Any ingredients you find can be brought to the front desk for a reward!
